Berkeley County Council District 6
From established neighborhoods to fast-growing corridors, District 6 sits at the center of Berkeley County's growth story — and at the center of the decisions that will shape the next generation.
A District at a Crossroads
District 6 is home to families who have been here for generations and families who arrived last year — all of whom chose this part of Berkeley County for the same reasons: room to breathe, good neighbors, strong communities, and the Lowcountry way of life.
That way of life is under pressure. Large-scale developments in and around the district — including the Cane Bay corridor — are being reviewed and approved one project at a time, while the roads, schools, drainage systems, and emergency services that residents depend on fall further behind.
The county council seat for District 6 is on the ballot November 3, 2026. The question is simple: will growth decisions keep being made around residents, or with them at the table?
